Terms and conditions

 

 

Limitations of service

I will support and guide you on how best to declutter and organise your space. Whilst I would like to leave you with a clean and tidy space and am happy to undertake light cleaning duties, Professionally Organised is not a professional cleaning service. 

I am happy to help you move smaller objects around your home. Furniture or items beyond my physical capability will not be moved.

    

 

Hours of work

Hours of work are between 9-5 Monday to Friday. Saturdays are by arrangement only.

I will work at your pace and regular breaks can be taken as required. 

For sessions longer than 3 hours, a lunch break will be taken (for which you will not be charged).

 

 

Payment terms

Payment / deposit    

A deposit may be required to secure your booking. This will be discussed in advance.

Payment in full will be required with 24 hours of the work being completed. 

This can be paid by bank transfer or cash. An invoice can be supplied on request.

 

 

Travel costs

Travel over 10 miles from PR6 may incur a mileage charge of 45p per mile in accordance with HMRC guidelines. This would be agreed before the first visit.

Any parking charges or accommodation costs incurred will be paid by you by prior agreement.

 

 

Cancellation

We both reserve the right to cancel due to unavoidable circumstances.

Cancellations made within 7 days of the booking which are not rebooked (within 2 weeks) may incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the session as booked.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the booking will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the cost of the session booked.

 

Memberships & Insurance

Amanda (Professionally Organised) is a member of APDO and abides by their code of ethics which are available on their website.

I am insured for public liability and professional indemnity.

I am DBS checked.

I am registered with the ICO.

 

 

Confidentiality/ privacy/social media

I value your privacy and will not disclose your personal information.  I may share your experiences in a more general and anonymous way with future clients and colleagues.  

Photos may be taken during the sessions with your permission, for your personal use, so that you can see the progress you have made.  If you are happy for these to be shared on my social media accounts, then I may use these to promote my services. This will not be done so without specific permission from you and no personal details will be given alongside images.  If the work is face-to-face, for personal safety reasons, I may share my whereabouts (your name and address) with one other person.  

If I have safeguarding concerns I will override the confidentiality clause where I am obliged to by law in order to protect your health and safety, or that of others.

Best advice and Responsibility for decisions.

Removal of items from your home whether to be disposed of or relocated are at your discretion. Whilst guidance will be offered, no items will be removed without your consent. Consent can only be given for items that belong to you. I will not remove items that belong to another person without their written consent.

 

Breakages

Whilst I will handle your possessions with great care, in the event of a breakage I shall not be held liable. In employing Professionally Organised you are agreeing to cover such losses on your home insurance. Please make sure you are adequately covered.

 

 

Access

If access to your home in unsafe or restricted Professionally Organised reserves the right to cease work and will charge you for any loss of time and expenses incurred

 

 

Safety 

You have a duty of care to ensure your premises are safe to work in and to disclose any circumstances which may put Professionally Organised at risk.

If during the time I am working with you I discover a significant mould or pest problem I reserve the right to withdraw my services until the matter has been professionally dealt with.

If I suspect that you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, I reserve the right to withdraw my services and charge a £50 late cancellation fee.

Please advise which person(s) other than you will be at the premises during my visit.

Your name and address may be shared with a close family member or friend for my own personal safety.
